simplemindedpreacher (smp) is a private blog dedicated to those whose lives are focused on and involved in ministry. Our motto is ‘serve better’, and thus we make it our goal to discuss topics which will help us do just that.
Most of the participants on smp are or have been associated with Calvary Chapel. This is not a prerequisite, however, if you participate you will understand will see that much of our discussion and the basis of our disposition links back to Calvary Chapel in some way. We are open to and welcome discussions on doctrines and philosophies outside of the Calvary Chapel distinctive.
Most everyone is welcome to participate in smp. The privacy issue gives us a small amount of leverage to remove any blogger whose presence is more disruptive than constructive.
If you would like to be involved with smp, please create a WordPress account. You can do this without actually creating your own blog. Once you have created your own WordPress account, cut and paste the following questions with your answers email them to: simplemindedpreacher@gmail.com
1. Are you a pastor? If so, where? what kind? what denomination? how many years?
2. If you are not a pastor, describe your role of ministry leadership. (include denomination and location)
3. Please include the web address for your church and (if applicable) your blog(s).
5. Have you participated with SMP in the past? If so, what name/moniker did you use?
6. Include the email that is associated with your WordPress account. If you don’t have a WordPress account, get one.
